I live in an apartment, and I can't have dogs. I am allergic to cats, but I would really like to have a pet. What are good pets for apartment living?

just curious... I live on 10 acres, so I have lots of pets and some rather unsual ones (like sheep with hair instead of wool) just wondering what everyone else has..
