I have a basenji mix, and just recently she has started to lick our shag carpet down to the pad. Is this life threatening, and how do i stop her?

It's probably not life threatening. There may be something that got spilled on the carpet a long time ago that the dog can smell. You might have good luck spraying the area with bitter apple spray. You can get it from any pet store, and most dogs hate the taste. |
