MY cat was an indoor/outdoor cat for about 3 years. We recently moved and I do not want her to be an outdoor cat at all anymore. She sits by the door and howls to be let out. Is she ever going to be content being in the house.

You will need to get outdoor like things for her to do inside. A piece of a tree trunk with bark for her to scratch on, cat grass for her to eat, and fun toys that might remind her of things outside. I recently got a wand that has some feathers on it and it spins when you wave it through the air. Also I recommend getting metal screens for the nicer months as anything less and the cat will easily slash their way through and be free. Also you will need patience, especially for her to stop howling at the door. |

easy enough, don't let her out and give her more indoor toys.. it will take a few months before they stop hollering to go out.. having said that - have you considered building a cat enclosure? My sister has one under her deck.. where I use to live I had one build next to my house.. in both cases you can use a window proped open to let the cat in and out (cat flap to keep out bugs.. http://therealowner.com/cats/outdoor-cat-safety-building-a-cat-enclosure/ |
